For men

Hair loss, which in its extreme is named Androgenic Alopecia, does not always develop in one pattern. Nevertheless, there is a model (Hamilton scale) which is, with few variations, followed in most cases of Androgenic Alopecia.

Modified Hamilton Scale

Stages of Androgenic Alopecia, Savin Scale

1st Stage: Full hair, no hair loss.

2nd Stage: Slight recession of the frontal hair line.

3rd stage: Further loss of the frontal line considered aesthetical significant.

4th Stage: Further progressive loss along the front line of hair and on top.

5th Stage: Loss of hair extending further to the top.

6th stage: The frontal and top areas are united, forming an area of greater surface.

7th Stage: The last stage of the male bold type, at which we observe a full loss of the front and top hair areas.
